Over the years of being married, my husband has grown to have “favorite” dishes that I make. One of those favorites are Parmesan Potatoes. He LOVES when I make them and doesn’t mind if I serve them more than once in a week. Check out this incredible side dish – parmesan potatoes recipe!
This dish is incredibly easy and versatile. I serve it with burgers, pork chops, chicken, steak, hotdogs… the list goes on and on.
You can find the parmesan potatoes recipe below, however, I’m going to type it out here first!
- First, get your flour, garlic salt, salt, pepper, and paprika and put it in a gallon sized bag (see recipe for measurements).
- Then, slice your potatoes about 1/2 inch thick. Wash the potatoes AFTER you have sliced them.
- Throw the washed potatoes (while they’re still wet) into the bag with the dry ingredients.
- Turn on the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Once the oven is heated up, take an entire stick of butter and cut it into slices. Place it all over a cookie sheet/pan. Put the butter in the oven for 2 minutes – NOT longer. You’re just wanting to melt the butter.
- Once the butter is melted, put the potato slices on the pan.
- Bake for 20 minutes and then flip them over and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
I love to eat these with ketchup! My husband just eats them plain, though.
Ingredients
- 3 potatoes
- 1 gallon sized bag
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp garlic salt
- 1 sick of butter
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Put the flour, parmesan cheese, paprika, pepper, salt, and garlic salt in the plastic bag and mix.
- Slice the potatoes 1/2 an inch thick.
- Wash the sliced potatoes.
- Put the potatoes in the bag with the dry ingredients while the potatoes are still wet.
- Slice the butter into small sections and put it on a cookie sheet/pan.
- Put the butter in the oven for 2 minutes to melt the butter.
- Once melted, place the potatoes on the pan.
- Cook for 20 minutes. Flip the potatoes. Cook for an additional 20 minutes.
Notes
- You can add more of any of the spices as you see fit.
- You may need less potatoes or more depending on how many people you are feeding, however, there should be enough of the dry ingredients to coat more than 3 potatoes! Therefore, you don’t necessarily need to double everything if you’re adding more potatoes.
